Word & Wonder: Privacy Policy and Support
Last updated: 7 October 2026
The short version
Word & Wonder does not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no tracking, no advertising and no analytics. The app works entirely on your device.
What the app stores on your phone
The app remembers a few things on your own device so it works the way you want: your light or dark mode choice, which explanations you've already seen, your reminder times and preferences, your last selected affirmation audience, and any thumbs-up or thumbs-down you tap on a card. Player names, teams and scores exist only while a game is in progress and are not saved. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.
Notifications
If you choose to turn on reminders, the app uses your phone's built-in local notifications. They are scheduled on your device at times you choose. No outside server is involved, and you can change or turn off reminders at any time in the app or in your phone's Settings.
Links to other websites
Some cards have a “Look it up” button that opens a page in your phone's browser, such as Bible Gateway or a Google search. The app also has a link to the Ovine website, and a Share button that sends a card to a friend using your phone's share sheet. Once you leave the app, the other website's own privacy policy applies, and we're not responsible for it.
Children
Word & Wonder includes Table Talk cards written for parents to read with their children. The app does not collect any information from anyone, including children.
